Connolly Saddlery: A Leader in Women's Professional Rodeo Association Sponsorship

Over A Decade of Dedication to Champions

In the world of rodeo, where grit meets grace and every second counts, the right saddle can make all the difference. Since 2013, Connolly Saddlery has proudly partnered with the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) to support their Saddle Rotation Program at the National Finals Rodeo (NFR)—a tradition that honors excellence, craftsmanship, and the spirit of the sport.

What Is the WPRA Saddle Rotation Program?

Each year at the NFR, the WPRA Saddle Rotation Program celebrates the top 15-barrel racers by awarding custom saddles donated by leading saddle makers. These saddles aren’t just trophies—they’re symbols of achievement. The program ensures that every finalist receives a saddle that reflects their hard work and dedication throughout the season.

Crafting Saddles for Champions

Connolly Saddlery has been a proud saddle donor for 12 years, contributing a handcrafted saddle that combines tradition, innovation, and performance. In 2023, Connolly’s Reserve Champion Saddle was awarded to rodeo legend Lisa Lockhart—a testament to the quality and prestige of Connolly’s craftsmanship. Lisa's hand-written Thank You note expressed her personal connection and gratitude for our support over the years.

Each saddle is made with premium leather, built on our proprietary tree, designed to meet the demands of elite barrel racers. But more than that, these saddles carry the heart of a family business that’s been serving the Western community for over a century, since 1912.

 A Family Affair

Connolly Saddlery isn’t just a name—it’s a legacy.  Members of the Connolly family, including grandparents, parents and grandkids, all attend the WPRA Star Celebration, kicking off 10 days of world-class rodeo action in Las Vegas. Their presence reflects the brand’s deep connection to the rodeo world and its commitment to supporting rodeo athletes.

Why It Matters

By supporting the WPRA Saddle Rotation Program, Connolly Saddlery helps elevate the sport of barrel racing and honors the women who make it great. It’s more than a sponsorship—it’s stewardship of a tradition that values excellence, community, and the Western way of life.

In 2025 Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi won a Connolly Saddlery saddle from the WPRA Saddle Rotation Program.
