The Gloves of a Champion

Bull Riders wear a glove only on their riding hand.  It protects the hand and fingers and makes it easier to hold onto the bull rope.

“If you’re going to make your living hanging on by one hand, you might as well put the best glove on it.” Everybody rides with a Tiffany,” says Luke Synder, PBR Bull Rider, talking about legendary bull riding glove maker, Tiffany Gloves.   The founder of the company notes that his goal is to make a better glove today than he did yesterday which I venture to say, reflects every bull rider’s attitude to make a better ride today than he did yesterday.

Durability and fit stand out as the number one reasons they like them. Tiffany specializes in custom tanned deer and elk hides to make their gloves.   Other gloves only last maybe 10 rides; the quality of Tiffany’s lets you get 30 or 40 rides.

Connolly’s stocks the black gloves which are medium weight leather and the natural color which is light weight leather.  Sizes 8-10 feature * which denotes longer fingers.  We understand what being on the Rodeo road means so we stock all sizes right and left hand, and also ship.   Parker Breding uses the long neck glove; Shane Proctor likes regular light.  Andrew Smith likes that we keep size & riding hand on file for family members that might want birthday and Christmas ideas.  And we’ve been known to bring Devon Mitchell a new glove right behind the chutes!
